[dbtxbuar] Transfinite groups

Simple groups of finite cardinality are of course interesting, as are Lie groups.  I suspect all Lie groups, certainly the famous ones, have the same cardinality as the real numbers.

Are there any interesting groups (other than the integers) and rich theory with cardinality aleph-null?  Greater than the continuum?
