[gbvlpmls] Doubling the cube

Create a series of similar objects of volume (and presumably mass) in ratios 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8.  Perhaps marbles.  The linear dimension increases by the cube root.

Create a brick with edge lengths 1 : cbrt(2) : sqrt(2) as a handy guide if you ever need to double the volume or surface area.  Glue two together to get a brick of elegant dimensions 2^(1/3) : 2^(1/2) : 2^(1/1).
