[aqarupgq] Mining moon craters

Since the moon lacks plate tectonics, weathering, and sedimentation, the remnants of meteor (asteroid) impacts should still be on the surface.  Mine the moon for rare earth minerals found in asteroids.  The far side might be more fruitful.

This beats going all the way out to an asteroid, though there remains the problem of transporting the materials to earth. I vote rail gun.

Inspired by the the theory that gold deposits in the earth's crust are the remnants of meteorite impacts; primordial dense gold would have sunk to the core.
