The Delhi gang rape incident seems weird. Everyone, including the perpetrators, would have had a more enjoyable evening had the incident not occurred. Why did they act that way?
It strikes me as similar to Zimbardo's Stanford Prison Experiment with a private bus instead of a prison. However, if this psychological similarity turns out to be true, then it could be used to absolve the perpetrators of blame, something repugnant to those who wish to condemn the perpetrators.
