Choose a point within an irregularly shaped region.  Assuming the axiom of choice, this is always possible.

However, practically speaking, depending on how the region is defined, this may be programatically nontrivial to do.  For example, suppose you are presented with a list of vertices of several polygons and asked to choose a point strictly within the interior of their intersection.  Or worse, regions bounded by splines.
