These days people carry around quite a few valuable objects: not just wallet and keys, but various small electronic devices costing hundreds of dollars each, easy to lose or forget.
Attach RFID to each of them (or, it could be standardly integrated into devices), and wear a beeper that periodically polls for all the devices, sounding an alarm if it becomes separated from any one of them, reminding you you've left it behind.
