How does the attractiveness of a teacher affect students' learning?  What ages?  What sexes?  What other factors?  I can see it going either way.

Of course, this is a difficult effect to try to isolate and quantify.

Inspired by a story of competitive online video gamers who, wanting to get better, hire a partner to train with and learn from.  Women in this profession (I think) tend to earn more than men (who are most of the customers).  Who would you rather practice with?

In the way olden days, courtezans were among the most highly educated members of society and could certainly be hired for sessions of education and sex.
