[pxtxrccr] Einstein's rise to German power

A bullet sent through time travel assassinates Hitler long before he and the Nazi Party rise to power.  In his absence, a different man, widely recognized as Germany's most prominent citizen (not having to flee the Nazi regime in this alternate timeline) rises to power: Albert Einstein.

Under Einstein's leadership, the sciences flourish in Germany even more than before, especially in the new and exciting field of nuclear physics, the science of the atom.  So as a matter of course, Germany becomes the first to develop the atomic bomb, under the guise as a defensive weapon, a potent deterrent so that great historic German cities such as Dresden should never be destroyed by attack.

Though Hitler himself may have been assassinated, the surging German nationalism is as strong as ever, perhaps driven white-hot by the tremendous German scientific accomplishments under Einstein's rule.  Inevitably, a popular nationalistic political movement gains momentum.  But this time, they have The Bomb...
