What is the reasoning behind Google creating products with names that are difficult to search for because of name collisions: the "Go" programming language, the "gold" linker, the "Google+" social platform? Google Chrome collides with Mozilla's Chrome browser infrastructure.
Is it incompetence? Or is it malice, making it difficult to search for negative reviews of the product? Normally, one would blame incompetence, but I find it hard to believe it could be incompetence for a make-or-break product like Google+.
