[gargcsjr] Human transportation by pods

A small autonomous pod, various sizes available, arrives at your departure point.  You step in, indicate your destination, and the pod travels to the next hierarchically larger transportation hub, say a subway stop, and wheels itself into the subway car.  The pod exits at the correct stop and autonomously drives to your destination.  All you need to do is sit (or stand) in your pod the entire way.

The key idea is pods can be packed efficiently into cars, and exit and entry into subway cars can be done efficiently, since it can all coordinated because every pod's destination is known.  Play the 15 puzzle between stops so the next-to-exit pods are by the doors. We might be able to do tricks like a subway train disconnecting into two, with the front cars traveling express and the last cars stopping at a station.  The pods have been packed correctly for this to happen.
