[vxpmhjxt] Money and Freedom

So much of the population constantly yearns for more money.

Why do they say "money", instead of naming the specific goods or services that they desire?

Maybe "money" is just shorthand, an abbreviation for those goods.

But I think it's more than that: we want the money without knowing yet what to do with it.  Money gives us options, so money gives us freedom.

For a supposedly "free" country, we have an entire population yearning for more freedom.

Something is terribly wrong.

Several questions: Is this actually the case?  Has it always been like this?  Historical study.

Money can buy privacy, the ability to live your life the way you want to without being questioned.  Is privacy freedom?
