Base Delta Zero movie

Base Delta Zero would make an great movie. It would have awesome special effects full of mayhem and destruction -- for example, melting a city down to a pool of slag -- but could also have vignettes told from a touching human-interest perspective -- people trying to escape or survive but who all tragically fail. Set it inside the frame of a propaganda film -- the Empire meticulously filmed the operation so as to discourage other planets from misbehaving and incur the wrath depicted. It would be nice if some well-known Imperial character commanded the operation, but the movie could be produced entirely outside the franchise if rights cannot be secured.
