three-factor authentication

Consider a ATM card with a (preferably large) photo.

1. Something you have: the card

2. Something you know: the PIN

3. Something you are: the photo

I think it would be only a mild deterant. Thiefs now are capturing card data and pins. With this they create cards. Which they could create with their own image on the card.

But, credit card companies and banks could have an image of you on file. Then when the transaction occurs the image is downloaded to the retailer. The retailer would then compare the downloaded image to the purchaser. If the match is good then the transaction can complete.
