[apaksvih] New element names

Now that we know more about chemistry, consider renaming all the chemical elements with more useful names, perhaps each with a name such that its electronic configuration or location in the periodic table is evident in the name.  (Unfortunately, at high atomic numbers, the diagonal rule is often violated, so position in the periodic table often does not give electronic configuration.  The diagonal rule also often mispredicts the electronic configuration of ions, which chemists really care about.)

Nuclear scientists and astronomers might have a completely different set of names, concerned about nuclear chemistry and not the electrons.

Obviously at odds with "tradition", a tension seen in many other fields.

Previously.
