[yuqbzxch] Nearest interesting stars

What stars should have a telescope trained on them 24/7, or as constantly as possible, in hopes of seeing something interesting and rare?  Maybe by amateurs.

Nearby Wolf-Rayet stars. LBV Eta Carinae and P Cygni.  How imminently likely is a Pleiades supernova?  KIC 8462852 (Tabby's Star).  Crab pulsar.  What are the nearby white dwarfs in close orbit around a giant star, impending type Ia supernovae?  Mira.  What else?

Sagittarius A*, though that requires a radio telescope.
