[lzqjvnhd] Longest home run

What is the theoretical maximum distance for a home run?  Let's even allow a machine to hit.

But if you hit a baseball hard enough, it will unravel or disintegrate on impact, not flying anywhere.  This will enforce a first maximum distance.

Instead of accelerating the ball by instantaneous impact with a bat, what if we use a long gun, which gently accelerates the baseball over a relatively long distance (length of the barrel).  But after the ball is released (sabot), the baseball enounters air resistance which can again unravel the ball.  This leads the true maximum home run distance (possibly infinite, if escape velocity does not destroy the ball).
